We are uniquely positioned in the kidney care industry and specialize in medical recruitment services for nephrologists. We focus on building relationships with fellows and nephrologists over time. Each year our recruiters spend face-to-face time with more than 600 fellows and nephrologists across the country, getting to know them and their needs. These relationships uniquely position us to understand both candidates and practices on a deeper level and help us create long-term matches when we place a physician – a much different perspective than other medical recruitment firms. Additionally, we are not commission-based and we remain focused on what is in your best interest, not ours.
We offer a variety of packages to fit our client’s needs. Our packages range from simple advertising to full service recruitment.
Please call us at 866-262-4004 or email us at email@example.com for more information on our recruitment packages.
The placement process is highly personalized for each practice, which is why the first step is getting to know you and your unique needs. In general, location, practice size, partnership track, reputation, turnover and compensation package can have a huge impact on the length of time it will take to recruit a nephrologist. A larger practice in a metropolitan area will likely be able to fill a job faster than a small practice in a rural area. No matter your situation, we are equipped to help you find the right, long-term candidate. Please call us at 866-262-4004 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to get started.
A good rule of thumb is about a year before you need the nephrologist to start. The length of time for recruitment will vary greatly by location, timing within the natural recruitment cycle and practice make-up.
H1-B – Any practice can file an H1-B petition, provided you have an IRS tax number. The hiring process for H1-B candidates varies depending on whether you are a for-profit or non-profit employer. For-profit employers will have their H1-B candidates participate in the cap process, whereas most non-profit employers are exempt from the cap. For more details about the process, please contact us at 866-262-4004 or fill out this form and a trusted team member from DaVita SOURCE will be in contact with you within 48 hours.
J-1 – Not all practices are eligible to hire J-1 visa candidates. Only certain counties/cities qualify and these areas must be designated by the federal government as either medically underserved area (MUA) or health professional shortage area (HPSA). Each state has a limited number of J1 visas available and many are reserved for primary care physicians. For more info on visa eligibility you may consult with DaVita SOURCE or visit hpsafind.hrsa.gov to see if your service area qualifies.
Accepting visa candidates will significantly increase the number of qualified applicants for your job. 57% of 2018 fellows were international medical graduates so the pool of fellows on a J-1 or H1-B visa is quite large. However, each practice is unique and your DaVita SOURCE representative can discuss these specifics with you.
You can pay for DaVita SOURCE services via check or credit card, depending on the level of service. A DaVita SOURCE team member will give you more details once you discuss the package that is best for your practice. Call us at 866-262-4004 or email us at email@example.com to get started.
Since each search is individualized, the number of candidates your job receives will be dependent on various factors, including your candidate criteria, location of your practice, structure of your practice, and the competitiveness of your compensation package. DaVita SOURCE will work with you if you have questions about how to make an offer more competitive. We evaluate interest through advertisement metrics and feedback from candidates. With this information, we can provide real-time feedback, make recommendations and necessary adjustments to help you secure the right candidate.
